NGSL Pentathlon Meet 2026

Meet Hosts: YMCA Ducks Swim Team 

Eligibility: Open to all NGSL teams and their members in good standing. Swimmers that would like a full Pentathlon Result (rosettes) must swim in all five events. Swimmers that do not swim in all five events will be eligible to receive Individual Results (ribbons.)

Age Date: The swimmer’s age prior to June 1 st will determine the age group for competition. (A swimmer may compete in a higher age group as long as he or she remains in the higher age group for all events.) 

Timing/Scoring: Computer seeding/scoring will be used with double plungers and backup timers. Pentathlon scoring for five events will be used. Each swimmer will swim all five events in his or her age group. The times from all five events will be added together for each swimmer to determine a total time. Places will be determined from the swimmer’s total times. A disqualification in an event will add 30 seconds to the swimmer’s overall time. 

Meet Volunteers: Each team will be asked to provide volunteer timers for the meet. Age Groups: 8 and under, 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under, and 18 and under.

Awards: Ribbons will be awarded 1 st – 10 th in each individual event. Special rosettes will be awarded 1 st – 10 th in each age group for boys and girls. Rules: 

Meet officials will use the current NGSL Rules that will govern the conduct of this meet unless otherwise notified.

Entries: This meet is for experienced swimmers.  

Fees: $25.00 per swimmer.  Late entries will be accepted up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the meet and will be assessed a double late entry fee. 

Warm-Ups: The warm-up schedule will be sent after the meet is seeded and will be run according to the rules of USA Swimming and Georgia Swimming, Inc. with no diving unless supervised by a certified coach during the last half of your scheduled warm-up time. Warm-ups will begin at 7:30 am for all age groups with the meet to begin at 9:00 am.

Order of Events: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle, IM

Hospitality:  Concessions and heat sheets will be available for purchase for parents.  PARENTS THERE IS LIMITED SPECTATOR SPACE ON THE POOL DECK. The gym will be available for spectators/swimmers. Families may set up tents in the grass area behind the starting blocks. Parents are asked to watch only their swimmers’ event from the pool deck and then move to the grass area in order to make room for other parents. 

Locker Rooms: Swimmers may use locker rooms ONLY. Parents/Coaches must use family restrooms in the pool lobby or restrooms in the hallway by concessions. Parents/Coaches may not use the locker rooms.

North Georgia Swim League Invitational Meet Saturday, June 20, 2026 Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center, Clarkesville, Georgia

Eligibility: Open to all NGSL teams and their members in good standing. This meet is designed for novice or beginner swimmers. Swimmers can compete in the NGSL Pentathlon Meet or the NGSL Invitational Meet but not both. Each swimmer may compete in (4) events and (1) free relay.

Age Date: The swimmers age as of June 1st will determine the age group for competition. Swimmers may swim in a higher age group but must remain in the higher age group throughout the meet. The except being that a swimmer may swim move up in age group to swim a relay and 6&unders may swim up in an age group if an event is not available in their age group and still swim the remainder of meet in their age group.

Pool: Invitational Meet will be held at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center located in Clarkesville, Georgia. It is a 8 lane, 25 yard indoor facility. Timing/Scoring: This meet will be timed with a IST Timing System, score board and computerintegrated touch pads and plungers with stopwatches backup .

Age Groups: The age group brackets for this meet will be 6&under, 8&under, 10&under, 12&under, 14&under and 18&under. The meet will be divided into two sessions with 6&under, 8&under, 10&under in the morning session and 12&under, 14&under and 18&under in the afternoon session. A bullpen will be provided for the morning session. Relays will not be organized in the bullpen. Coaches will be responsible for setting up relays.

Awards: An All-Star ribbon will be awarded to each swimmer achieving an All-Star time and ribbons will be awarded for 1st thru 12th places starting with the next fastest swimmers below the All-Star times. Relay ribbons will be awarded for 1st thru 3rd places. A Heat Winner award will be presented to each heat winner.

Rules: Certified NGSL meet officials will use the current USA Swimming, Inc. Rule Book except where current NGSL rules supersede to govern the conduct of this meet unless otherwise notified.

Fees: Fees are set by the NGSL at $5.50 per swimmer for individual events and $10.00 per relay plus a $1.00 surcharge per athlete. Late entries will be accepted up to 30 min before the start of the meet. New heats will NOT be created to accommodate late entries.

Warm-Ups: Warm up schedule will be provided prior to start of meet. Warm-ups for the morning session (6&U, 8&U and 10&U) will start at 8am. Warm-ups for the Afternoon Session (12&U, 14&U and 18&U) will start no sooner than 12 Noon.

Concessions: A concession stand will be operated by the Habersham Recreation Department

Notice: Spectators will not be allowed to set up chairs in the hallways by order of the Fire Marshall. Space will be limited inside the Recreation Department please See Attached Spectator Protocol.

Heat Sheets: Heats sheets will be emailed to the coaches ahead meets and will need to be distributed to parents prior to meet. There will be only a limited number of heat sheets available at the meet.
