Become a Coach
Dawson County Swim Team is looking for summer swim coaches for the 2026 season. We have 50-75 amazing young swimmers ages 5-18 that are supported by their parents, family, friends, and neighbors.
The ideal Dawson County Swim coach will have a previous background in swimming as either an athlete, a lessons instructor, or have previous coaching experience. The coach should have a strong working knowledge of the 4 strokes Fly, Back, Breast, and Freestyle. You will need to love working with children and inspiring them to do better and try their hardest. Coaches must be available for daily practice and multiple swim meets during the summer season. Coaches must be ready to get into the water to help teach technique and stroke development with swimmers and always inspire the swimmers with a positive attitude and be ready to have fun. Coaches will need to pass a background test, become lifeguard certified, have good communication skills, and show up on time for practices and meets.
